Vinaigrette
Ingredients
1 genrous tsp. garlic, fresh, minced
1 tbsp. grainy mustard
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. oregano, whole, dried
1/2 tsp. black pepper - freshly ground
2 tsps. Kosher salt
1

cut extra virgin olive oil
 

Method
Place everything but the olive oil into a medium-size mixing bowl. Whisk the ingredients together.
Begin to drizzle in the olive oil, whisking until all oil is added and the vinaigrette becomes emulsified. Variously, place all the ingredients in a lidded jar and shake vigorously until emulsified or place ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend.
Add the vinaigrette to the salad ingredients, toss gently but thoroughly and enjoy! Garnish with whole basil sprigs or a mound of basil julienne in the center of the salad.
