Why do Isernio’s Sausages cost more than others?

Isernio’s Sausages cost more than most sausages because they’re worth more.
Quality Ingredients:
Naturally, it costs more to use the best ingredients. Combine that cost with the attention to detail and expertise, as well as prompt delivery of a fresh product, and you’ll see a slightly higher price for a product that’s worth every penny.

Take a peek at Isernio’s Ingredients:
Isernio Sausages are made from lean, fresh meat and premium herbs and spices; they’re all-natural and contain no preservatives. Many unnatural ingredients can appear in commodity sausages. That’s why at Isernio’s, we strongly encourage you to read our labels.

Low shrinkage:
If you consider the lack of shrinkage you will find there is great value in buying Isernio's sausages. You get up to twice as much lean-meat content as commodity sausage.

Use this chart to compare Isernio's with the national brands:

Sausages:

Typical Commodity Sausage:
(usually includes the following:)

Meat Quality: Lean and fresh.
The same cuts you would buy at your store to serve guests.
Trimmings that contain a high percent of gristle and fat - virtually unusable to the consumer elsewhere.
Flavor Enhancers: None! Flavor enhancers such as MSG are used to give the illusion of real flavor. Excessive amounts of sugar, dextrose, corn syrup and salt are also utilized to create a flavor sensation.
Chemical Preservatives: None! Ingredients such as BHA, BHT, and Propyl Gallate are used to retard rancidity and preserve the appearance of commodity sausages.
Color Enhancers: None! To camouflage the gray, pasty appearance of a commodity sausage, many producers rely on coloring agents to mimic the appearance of fresh, lean meat. These coloring agents allow the marginal sausage to appear more appetizing.
Casings: We use top grade imported natural casings. Natural casings simply protect and emphasize the natural goodness of high quality fresh sausage. They breathe during the cooking process and maintain an almost invisible characteristic. Inexpensive synthetic casings become quite gelatinous and chewy when they are cooked.
Fillers: None! Inexpensive soy or cereal fillers are used to extend commodity sausages. This allows the producer to cut manufacturing costs while still giving the impression that the consumer is receiving an all-meat product.
